The unique feature of CBTI as a cooperative and at the same as a banking institution would be complex without the supervision and regulatory function of the BSP. The annual general examination of the bank ascertain the overall financial condition and results of operation; assess the risk management system including policies, procedures, internal control and audit; determine compliance with pertinent laws, BSP rules, regulations and directives; and ascertain that the bank operates in a safe and sound manner.

COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (CDA)

The role of CDA in the formative years of Coop Bank of Tarlac and up to present is incalculable. Being one of the regulatory agencies and a major investor to CoopBanks, CDA assistance to all coopbanks is a great contribution to the cooperative movement. Recording a PhP 1.431M common shares and PhP 5.606 M preferred shares investment, CDA has one seat (Ex-officio) to the CBTI Board of Directors.

Although only a recent addition to the above-mentioned organization, CBTI membership with RBAP and the Tarlac Federation of Rural banks signifies a very important recognition as an important player of the rural banking industry. Our membership strengthened our responsive as a bank that is readily available to meet the growing needs of rural customers and re-affirms our commitment and support to rural economic development.
 

CENTRAL LUZON ASSOCIATION OF MICROFINANCE INSTITUTIONS (CLAM)

Member since 2004. Being one the original cooperators of the council, CBTI membership to CLAM created strong ties with other member MFI’s thus, improve networking, lobbying and linkaging. Through the training programs and educational trips offered, CBTI Microfinance personnel and management are able to learn the best MF practices and adopt what they learned in our own organization.
